Anat Yohanan
Born in 1966
Lives and works in Israel

• 2018-2020 - Painting studies and workshops with the artist Sigal Tzabari

• 2014-2018 - Painting studies with the artist Hagit Shahal

• 2011-2014 - Painting studies with the artist Ayelet Katz

• 2008 - Painting studies at the Avni Institute
  Anat deals with painting on a medium to large scale, the figurative painting style.
   

The images in her work are women and dancers in scenes of anticipation, alertness, and sadness.

The images were captured on camera from cinematic scenes while sitting in cafes, train stations, before and after a dance performance.

Anat draws inspiration from the great artists- Degas and Renoir, their romantic style, and the colors in their work.

The color, the colorfulness, and the hidden layers that emerge intensify the mysterious, enigmatic, and melancholy feeling.

Women have legitimacy for strength, weakness, and boldness, color, and monochromatic at the same time.
